Hello!  

My name is Madelou Amparado. I was born January 26 1992. I am now 19 years of age and in the 3rd year of my College education at La Salle University where I am studying Business Administration. It will take me at least 1 more year to finish my college course.

I live with my family in Manga Catadman, Ozamiz City and ride a motor cab to school every morning. I am very fortunate that I was recommended to Lolo Father Kill and was accepted into the scholarship program at Balay San Columbano. I am lucky that I can live at home because I have good parents and enough to eat.

My father works as a body builder in an auto repair shop. His monthly salary is only $120. That is hardly enough to feed our family. My mother earns a little money once in a while cleaning houses, but she can not find work all the time.

We are 5 children in our family. My sister and I are both in school, but my brothers were not so lucky. My sister and I are in school because others are helping us to go to school. I got a partial scholarship at La Salle University so it is easier for Lolo Father Kill to help me.

I thank all of those who are helping Lolo to care for us. Without you we would have no hope and no schooling. We pray for all of you who have been so good to us. We hope you have a good day, filled with hope and good health. It would be my dream to meet my sponsor some day so I could tell them personally just how thankful I am for the great gift you have given to me and to others.
