| Hello! My name is Johnrel Glaeza. I am 21 Years of age. I am now in the 2nd year of my college education at Medina College in Ozamiz City. It will take me 4 more years to finish my course. I am studying to be a nurse so that I can help people and help my mother. I now live at Balay San Columbano in Ozamiz City. I am very fortunate that Lolo Father Kill accepted me into the Educational and Rehabilitational program at Balay San Columbano. Before I lived in Barrio Capucao. It is one of the mountain barrios of Ozamiz City We are 8 children in our family. My mother, Norma, is the one providing us with all of our needs and she has a very hard time finding enough money even for our basic needs. She could never afford to send us to school. My father was murdered when I was only 4 year old . He was shot in our home one night by an unknown gunman. Until now this crime has gone unsolved because the police do not really investigate crimes here. I have learned to offer all of this suffering to God and pray that things will get better. My Mama works hard growing a few things around the house and also working on the farms of the neighbors. She earns very little, though. Sometimes she only earns $10.00 or $12.00 a month. She can not work all of the time because the neighborsdo not always need help. They do call her when the do need help so that they can help her support us. I was very lucky to be introduced to Lolo Father Kill by a school teacher who lives near us. She knew Lolo before when he worked in the mountain parish in Josefina. She knew Lolo would be able to find some way to help me. I thank all of those who are helping Lolo to care for us. Without you, I would have no hope, no place to live, no way to go to school. We pray for all of you who have been so good to us. I have an e-mail address if you would like to write to me. My address is vash28_69@yahoo.com Love, Johnrel |
