| Hello! My name is Jackimenrey Toyorada. I am 18 Years of age. My friends call me Jackie. I am now in the 1st year of my college education at Immaculate Conception College in Ozamiz City. It will take me 4 more years to finish my education. My course is Agriculture. I now live at Balay San Columbano in Ozamiz City. I am very fortunate that Lolo Father Kill accepted me into the Educational and Rehabilitational program at Balay San Columbano. I was recommended by a teacher in Josefina where Lolo Kill used to be assigned. Before I lived in Josefina, Zamboanga del Sur. Josefina is a small town high in the mountains in a very poor province. I am the only child in our family. My mother, Eliza, disappeared when I was only two years old. We do not know where she went or what happened to her. My father, Herminio, is a farmer and he works very hard but he makes only $10 or $20 a month. That is not even enough to provide for our daily needs. I really want to continue my education so that I might have a better life and can support my own family later. I pray that God will give me the knowledge and strength to persevere in my studies so that I will be successful and will be able to help others later when I have a job. I thank all of those who are helping Lolo to care for us. Without you we would have no hope, no place to live, no schooling. We pray for all of you who have been so good to us.
